Emma studied French Language and Literature at Oxford Brookes University, UK and in Grenoble, France. She also holds a TEFLA Dip from Cambridge University and various certificates in the areas of permissions and copyright and the publishing industry. She has been involved with ELT and ELT publishing since 1994. She has taught English both in the UK and Greece. She was the Picture Research Manager for Macmillan Education, UK and also the Editorial Manager for Zenith ELT, and then for Macmillan Hellas. As of 2003, she is the co-owner and vice-president of hyphen, an ambitious company dedicated to fair, viable practices and high quality standards. Hyphen develops and produces top quality educational publishing materials for major publishers across the globe. She is married to Yannis Stergis (co-owner of hyphen) and they have two children, Anna Rachael and Savvas George. Emma is fluent in Greek and a confident speaker of French.
